Oil pastels on paper. 

In this series I'm exploring the concept of Silence. Living in a busy city like Barcelona, makes it almost impossible to find moments for enjoying silence. Silence is much more than the absence of noise. Silence is an opportunity to initiate a trip to your deepest self, a way of understanding your own nature.

Inspired by nature, I combined paper and wood slice with high quality Sennelier Oil paintings.

Oil pastels never dry, they just become hard over time. Oil gets absorbed by the fibers of the paper leaving a layer of pigment with less oil.

The paper I used in these ones is specific for oil, which means that oil will absorb better than on other regular papers.
